Some of my recent projects!!

Valentine's wreath that I made! So much fun to make!! I want to make more.

Here is my latest lampshade . I thought it would be perfect to wrap a lampshade with a pattern, add some old measuring tape, velvet ribbon, old pearl earring and this sweet picture of Erick and Debbie at our wedding. Such a great way to honor Debbie!! I miss her!

This is a little christmas house that I made one day with my mom and Emma, right by it is a stand I made with an old book and a vintage plate! Below is the house again and our Christmas stockings that I made. I know I'm way late posting this, but Oh well. at least I'm doing it now!!

What I Love Right Now!

I have been not adding anything to my blog forever because I have all these pictures I want to add and I never get around to doing it, but I guess I can still do a post without pictures, even though they are fun and I might actually make myself get on Erick's computer and post some on here someday soon. ( I can't put them on using my laptop.) Ever since I was a little girl I have loved making lists and lists of things I like, don't know exactly why, but I just think it is fun. I guess it is nice to have those things written down because it makes you feel more like you know yourself and what you are all about!! Or something like that.....Anyway, I am making a list of the things that I am really into right now!! Yay!!!

1-The new Fox show Glee-I am in love with it! I can't believe I've lived 32 years without it and it is now in my life and I feel somehow complete. Just kidding, but it really is so fun and entertaining.

2-One of my favorite treats right now is to take vanilla or chocolate chip ice cream, dump in a bunch of the Magic Shell chocolate topping and stir it all in before it totally hardens, then it is kind of like chocolate chip ice cream that is "choc"-full ( ha ) with teeny little chocolate chips. It is awesome!!!

3-I love to tease my kids lately. It is fun and entertaining for me, it helps us to be closer as a family, and it helps to bring out their own senses of humor, too!

4-I'm obsessed with lockets-I love them because they are pretty and very vintage and I love how they open up!

5-I love putting clashing fabrics together in decor, clothes, or jewelry-- so cute, fun, and unexpected!!

6-I am always obsessed with anthropologie, When I look at the catalog, go in the store or look online, it inspires me so much and just gets me excited!!

what's new????

I HAVEN'T POSTED FOR A WHILE TO SAY THE LEAST! I GET SO BUSY AND NEGLECT MY BLOG. I THOUGHT I WOULD POST UPDATES ON ALL OF US AND WHAT WE ARE DOING IN OUR LIVES!!

erick---still working for logan city environmental dept. almost done with thesis and beckie couldn't be more excited!! she is driving him crazy with talking about a house. erick also has the big idea that he is going to san francisco in november to go to a 49rs-chicago bears game. beckie told him that he has to save for a house. of course.

beckie---working nonstop every day on peach days stuff!, getting anxious for lillee's cast to come off her leg, making sure pearce and lillee are ready for back-to-school. looking forward to the good old box elder county fair this week! excited to have a party at mommy and daddy's house with their new patio and basketball court. has a million ideas for little girl and big girl accessories and hopes she has time to make every single one!!

pearce william---he is totally into indiana jones, vintage (and when i say vintage i mean like 1993) teenage mutant ninja turtles shows, loves his new grey vest and is wearing it out before school starts! loves playing with his friends and fighting with lillee. uses lots of big words and knows what they mean, too!

lillee mckaye---is really starting to get into fashion. she is "designing" (drawing) outfits she wants for school all the time, and using terms like "fashionable" to describe people!!!! she is a total trooper with her leg cast. it doesn't slow her down 1 bit! she can pretty much run with it on, although mommy tells her not to do that because it won't heal as fast that way. she loves to play with her friends, too!

jack grey---is getting smarter all the time, except for the fact that he refuses to go potty on the big boy potty. lillee and pearce were both all potty trained by this age (3). he loves mickey mouse clubhouse, his new hulk smash gigantic green fists, lightming ncqueen (no that's not a typo, that's what he calls him) he wants to be just like his big brother ( and sister, sometimes which is scary) yesterday he was wearing one of lillee's outfits for a few minutes!

well, there's lots more to say, but i guess i'll stop there because i'm getting tired. we did go to yellowstone last week and it was really fun! i will try to post those pictures sometime soon.

fun new flower necklace design!!

I am really excited about this fun flower necklace that I just designed, and I had to post it! I made it with ripped fabric and vintage jewelry, rhinestones, beads, and ribbon! My cousin Laci gave me the idea, and I'm so glad!! It is definitely a statement piece and it looks great with jeans, a t-shirt and a cardigan or jacket, or it's really fun with a dress or any dressy outfit! I just have this sample right now, but I am working on some more color combinations and I am going to do some all black ones, too. Also, I am doing some smaller, more simple ones, which I will post soon. I am going to put these on my website soon, but I thought I'd post them here first just for fun! The big ones like this will be $64 and the smaller will be less. If anyone wants one~ just leave me a comment or e-mail me if you have my e-mail! I can do any colors you want, too, so let me know!

Finally, Some pictures!

Here are the kids with their felt bunnies that Grandma Pearson made for them for Easter!
Here is Aaron and Erick the night before we took Aaron to the MTC. Erick couldn't go because he had to participate in a group presentation for his final and there was no way out of it. I went down with the kids, though. What a day!

Here's Lillee with her fake nails that she made me glue on her. She loved them so much and felt so grown up!

Here are some pictures that Aaron and I took of the kids a few weeks ago. There are just a few here, but there are tons more cute ones that we took. We went to Adams Park in Logan. It was a great location for pictures! Aaron photoshopped some for me after, but he did it on his computer, so I just posted the original pictures.

This is me at the lunch after Rick and Sharilee's wedding. I really hate this picture, but I don't know how to take it off of here, so it's stuck.

This was the kids at the St. George Temple when we were there on vacation a few weeks ago. We had such a fun trip.

updates

We have had so much going on and I've been so busy with jewelry and everything that I never get around to blogging much anymore. I promise, Mom, that I will post some pictures soon of us! I am such a slacker. We went to St. George a couple of weeks ago and it was so nice to be there surrounded by palm trees. I love them! Thanks so much mom for the Easter surprises for the kids. They loved them, especially the felted bunnies that grandma made for them. We went to baby animal days with Jon & Mandi, Tony & Mary, and Aaron. It was really fun, and we went to Juniper takeout after, which I love. Aaron is leaving on his mission in a week, and I'm really happy for him, but I'll for sure miss him. He's one of my best buddies to hang out with. I know he will do awesome in Philly, though. And 2 years really does go pretty fast (at least for me it did with all my brothers). Rick got married about 3 weeks ago to Sharilee, who is so nice and I am so glad for them that they found eachother. I am so excited because the store Leyda's in the mall that carries my jewelry is probably going to exclusively sell my stuff. It will be awesome if that happens, but we'll see! By the way, if you haven't been in there, you should go. It is the cutest store and they have lots of designer clothes, including jeans, which I need to go buy for myself sometime soon. Pearce has been in soccer and has had 1 game, which was awful because it was rainy and I don't have an umbrella, so it was pretty much torture the entire time. He does a really good job, though, so I'm hoping for better weather soon so I can enjoy the games! He was so funny. There was a little break where all the boys were just resting and trying to warm up, and here's Pearce, doing push-ups on the wet grass! I was really shocked actually, because he usually is kind of a baby when he is cold. Lillee is in dance at La Shars and she is really good actually. I'm excited to see how she does as she gets older. Erick is doing good in school and is almost finished with his last class ever! Yay! He should be done with his thesis in July and then we get to move on with life! Erick and I are going to San Francisco in May and I'm so excited. He has a conference at a really awesome Hotel and we are staying there. It will be great! I am a little sad about leaving the kids, though. I've never lefte Jack overnight before, so hopefully it will be okay! He is the best little boy ever. He is really funny, too. He says all kinds of cute things all the time. Life is good, and hopefully I will keep up with the blogging a little bit better now! Now I guess I have to go back to my jewelry making!

Fun With Lillee

Imagine opening up your fridge and finding this lovely concoction which consists of pepperoni, cheese, jello, milk and chocolate chips! While I was in the kitchen taking pictures of it, Lillee comes in and says "What's that?" I said, "Didn't you make it??" because I knew only Lillee would make something this wonderful and then save it for everyone to enjoy. She says, " Yes, it's a Christmas decoration." And won't it be a cute one?

Another great thing that Lillee did the other day was that we were driving down the road in a kind of trashy neighborhood and she says, "Um, this is going to be kind of hard to say, but somebody put a toilet in their yard!!" I just started laughing. I guess there was a toilet planter in someone's yard. Yay!!

Halloween

I know it's way past Halloween, but here are a few pictures from the Halloween carnival that I took the kids to. Jack didn't like being a horse at the carnival, so on Halloween he was a cowboy instead. That's what the moustache picture on the top is. Lots of fun!

blessings

I think it's time to write down things I'm grateful for because I think I need a little boost. I hate it when I get a little bit down and don't think about all of my blessings.
1-I am thankful to have such a great family. Even though I don't see them too often, I know they are all here for me if I need them. My brothers are awesome and such good examples to me. I love all my sisters-in-law and they are all special and unique. My parents are the best. My mom is my best friend and my dad is so smart and focused on serving.
2-My husband is so dedicated to getting his master's and I know I get frustrated at times because I am so old and living in student housing, but it will be TOTALLY worth it when we're done. He is awesome and it is inspiring to see how far he has come since we first got married.
3-I am so glad to be a mom. I don't know what I'd do if I didn't have the crazy job of chasing my kids around 24-7. They give me a sense of importance and plus they are so sweet (sometimes) and say the funniest things.
4-I am so glad to have Jess, Aaron, Stephen and Emma here in Logan. It's hard to not be able to see everyone else very often. I miss everybody!
5-I am glad to have some talents. I love to have a creative outlet.
6-I am so grateful to be a member of the church. I really can't believe that I am so lucky to be born into it.
